National raisin week continues, and today’s entry is the little know Zante Currant. Smaller than regular raisins, they get their name from the Ionian island of Zakynthos (Zante) and a small black grape from Corinth (currant). These have no relation to the more commonly known berries (such as blackcurrant, redcurrant, etc…).
